6061 is a precipitation hardening aluminum alloy, and the 6XXX series aluminum alloy is mainly composed of magnesium and silicon as its main alloying elements. Overall, it has good mechanical properties and can be subjected to heat treatment and welding. It is the most commonly used aluminum alloy.
