1.4542 (17-4 PH) (X5CrNiCuNb16-4) steel is a progressively used maraging steel. The material 1.4542 (17-4 PH) possesses both high mechanical values similar to martensitic steels and high corrosion resistance akin to austenitic steels. 1.4542 (17-4 PH) stainless steel is commonly preferred in various industrial applications due to its high strength and corrosion resistance properties. The AISI 630 material contains 17% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 4% nickel, offering properties such as high-temperature resistance, high fatigue life, and wear resistance. 1.4542 (17-4 PH) material is employed due to its high strength and ease of machinability. It is suitable for processes like forging, casting, drawing, cold forming, and other machining operations. Furthermore, 1.4542 (17-4 PH) steel is resistant to temperature changes and is an ideal material for parts operating at high temperatures due to its heat-resistant properties.
Application
17-4PH, 630 and X5CrNiCuNb16-4 / 1.4542 is provided in the form of round bars, sheets, flat bars and cold-rolled strip. The material is widely used in the aerospace, marine, paper, energy, offshore and food industries for heavy-duty machine components, bushings, turbine blades, couplings, screws, drive shafts, nuts, measuring devices.
