EN 1.0308 steel is a carbon (non-alloy) steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 1.0308 is the EN numeric designation for this material. E235 is the EN chemical designation. It can have a moderately low tensile strength among the wrought carbon or non-alloy steels in the database.

1.0308 is used for manufacturing mechanical structures, hydraulic equipment, automotive parts, steel sleeves, and is also commonly used for producing various conventional weapons, gun barrels, shells, etc.
